Old Tucson: Tucson, Arizona
October 17th, 2018
This past spring I had the opportunity to take a road trip across the country. I started my journey in North Carolina on a flight to Colorado Springs. Sitting in the back of the plane next to he engine (glamorous life of a photographer.) After landing in Colorado I spent some much needed time with old friends. My next leg of my trip was picking up my new Subaru Forester and seeing my family in Arizona. Far to soon I found myself at the Denver airport on the way to Phoenix.
One of my goals of this trip was to continue working with re-enactors. Working with re-enactors has helped expand my creativity as a commercial photographer. Growing up as a kid, being a cowboy has always been a dream. That dream came true when I had the opportunity to shoot the actors at Old Tucson. Seeing gun fighters in the street, dancers at the theatre, and cowboys at the local saloon was something of my dreams. It also reminded me of one of my favorite TV shows WestWorld.
Here are the images from my day at old Tucson (Check out my Projects section for a few more shots) Since moving to Austin, Texas I have started working on pre-production for my next shoot with re-enactors. Stay Tuned.
